Okay...so yes, I've signed up for the 89 km Comrades Ultra-Marathon...Next May. But there are a few other obstacles that I need to overcome before I can even participate! That is, my first ever marathon, which happens to be this weekend. Winelands Marathon, here I come!

I've been tapering my training this week because that is apparently the smart thing to do before a marathon. However, after running some of the shorter paths that I used to consider very challenging, I found that I have become considerably more fit and accustom to running longer distances.
But, I still need to get through this. So I will push on...with the children of El Shaddai Ministries/Orphanage as my ultimate motivation. Check out this link for more information on the orphanage:
